DFW’s Southern Star – The City of Midlothian is located 20 miles south of the Dallas/Fort Worth area on Hwy 287.
Home to a variety of year-round events, visitors can enjoy Spring Fling, Fly-In Breakfast, Summer Balloon Classic featuring over 40 hot air balloons, Fourth of July Fireworks, Fall Festival and Holiday Light Up Parade to name a few.
The Midlothian Conference Center is host to many events as well, such as the Festival of Flowers in the spring, the Annual Quilt Show in the summer, and the Festival of Trees during the holidays. The halls of the Conference Center have also become a gallery for local professional and amateur artists of Ellis County.
We pride ourselves on our historic downtown, its unique shops and our fabulous ‘Mom & Pop" restaurants that are definitely worth the trip. Midlothian has scores of fun things to do, friendly people, and many entertainment, and recreational possibilities.
