ADDISON’S ARTS AND EVENTS DISTRICT

These 16 acres can be transformed for many festivities.  Addison currently utilizes this space for their well-known events with attendance up to 50,000 visitors.  It is flexible outdoor space that can accommodate many sporting activities.

ALFRED J. LOOS SPORTS COMPLEX

Owned by the Dallas Independent School District

and built in the mid-1960s, the Alfred J. Loos Athletic Complex remains as one of the top high school athletic complexes in North Texas.  The complex features a 12,500 seat football, soccer and track stadium, that has artificial turf and a state of the art scoreboard, a 7,600 seat basketball arena, a 2,500 seat swimming and diving center, and a 2,000 seat baseball stadium.  The parking lot at the complex can accommodate 2,400 cars.

GREENHILL SCHOOL ATHLETIC CENTER

Greenhill School maintains a state-of–the-art athletic facility.  Many communities and organizations have found that the Sports Center has much to offer them.  It is the home to Spikefest, the countries largest 3 on 3 amateur volleyball tournament.  The complex has:  Cox Gymnasium with a seating capacity of 200, Phillips Gymnasium with a seating capacity of 800, 6 Lane Swimming Pool, 4 Soccer Fields, 10 Tennis Courts, 2 Lacrosse Fields, 2 Baseball Fields with a seating capacity of 250 each, 2 Softball Fields with a seating capacity of 250 each, 2 lighted with Stadium Seating Playing Fields, 8 Lane Track Field, 2 Field Hockey Fields.

TRINITY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY ATHLETIC COMPLEX

Trinity Christian Academy’s athletic facility supports 30 years of rich tradition and history.  The sporting venues quality and standards are a direct impact on the highly regarded athletic program at TCA.  This site was one of the host locations for the 2000 Basketball Congress Association Boys and Girls Tournament.  The complex has:  7 Lane Track Field with a seating capacity for 1,500, 1 Baseball Field with a seating capacity of 1,000, 1 Gymnasium with a seating capacity of 750, 1 Football Stadium with a seating capacity of 1,500, 6 Tennis Courts and a Soccer field.

FORT WORTH CONVENTION CENTER AND ARENA:

The Fort Worth Convention Center recently completed a $75 million renovation hosts numerous prestigious sporting events year-round, including the Gymnastic World Championship, U.S. Olympic Boxing Team Trails and Davis Cup Tennis. It spas 14 blocks in downtown Sundance Square within walking distance of hotels, restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. The FWCC has hosted various sporting events from boxing to wrestling and from youth to adults.  Equipped with a Multi-Purpose Arena with seating for 13,500 and exhibit space of 253,226 square feet.

LaGrave Field features one of the most breathtaking views in all of baseball. Located just north of downtown, LaGrave allows fans to enjoy a look at the towering skyscrapers of downtown Fort Worth in the setting sun. LaGrave Field is home of the Fort Worth Cats minor league baseball team. In 2003, it was named one of the Top 10 Independent Ballparks in the nation by Baseball America. Fifty (50) MLB Hall of Famers have played at LaGrave Field and Sparky Anderson said that is where he got his nickname. In addition to baseball games, LaGrave has been the host of a variety of different events such as concerts, weddings, boxing matches and more. Stadium Seating for 5,094.  

TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY:

With an overall capacity in excess of 200,000, Texas Motor Speedway is among the largest sports stadiums in America. TMS hosts two NASCAR events and one Indy race each year. The track measures 1.5 miles (2.4 km) around and is banked 24 degrees in the turns. With 1,500 acreages, TMS also features a  1/5th mile Little Speedway and the 4/10-mile Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track. A variety of promotional and special event are held each yard ranging from the Texas Outdoor Expo to the Goodguys Rod and Custom Lone Star Nationals. An excellent venue for all kinds of events from Paintball to Frisbee Golf.  

WILL ROGERS MEMORIAL CENTER:

This beautiful art-deco multi-purpose facility is home to a variety of sporting and equestrian events, including the Fort Worth Stock Show, which draws around 960,000 visitors annually. Sports hosted included basketball, rodeo, ice hockey, ice skating and roller skating. The Will Rogers Coliseum seats 6,000 people and the Amon Carter Exhibit Hall has 100,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space.  The world-class Will Rogers Equestrian Center, recognized as one of the largest and most modern livestock facilities in the world with more than 1,000 permanent stalls, is made up of three buildings with an enclosed tunnel for moving livestock.

The arena is the home office and official practice facility for the NHL’s Dallas Stars.  This state-of-the-art facility seats 5,100 with ice that can be covered for 17,000 square feet of meeting space; 6,100 seats with staging and full theatre seating on the floor.  There are 12 private suites with a capacity of 14 guests each and the Club Lounge will hold up to 216 for a private event.

The new, 275,000-square-foot Irving Convention Center can accommodate up to 12 volleyball courts, 6 basketball courts, 15 high school wrestling areas, 12 college wrestling areas, or 28 fencing strips. The exhibit hall can also accommodate approximately 4,500 attendees theater-style. There is retractable seating for 1,100, with seats folding away into built-in storage.
